These are my fabulous epoxy resin horns!
The process for these guys is quite intense, not a straight forward resin pour, I personally made (trial and error) the silicone molds for all my horns!
The process starts with me printing a model horn fro use, sanding this model, coating it in resin & a sealant - quite a few layers over a few days to get the model glossy and ready for the silicone!
Once the model is ready, I then print a mold box, attach the model and after mixing up dubious amounts of silicone I gently pour it around the master horn, in a few hours it’s fully cured & can be cut away from the mold box- and in 24 hours can be used with resin
Once the silicone molds & ready I then go ahead and pour in the epoxy resin - in around 12hrs the resin is solid and ready to be demolded, once demolded the resin needs an additional 3 days for full solidness (due to how thick the resin is) this will allow me to drill straight through it without cracking!
So one pair of horns stay to finish, easily a full 7 days!
These horns are epoxy resin, which is waterproof, however expose to excessive heat can make them soft and bendy - don’t leave them on a windowsill or hot car as they can deform 🫠
Each pair is 100% unique and comes with a nylon / elastic cord, simply thread it through the horns and tie it with 4 knots and slip the horns on like a headband - over the head, then gently move the horns up onto your forehead, arrange your hair to cover the invisible cord and all done!
You can also use Spirit gum to attach your horns directly against your skin, but be aware the horns are sanded on the bases which gives a fully smooth surface, so the spirit gum might be difficult to hold it!
